Unsolved Crimes April 11, 2008 (Robinson, IL) -- Crawford County Crimestoppers is offering a $1000 reward for information leading to the arre  st of the people involved in hitting 5-year-old Codie Pusey in Sullivan County, Indiana Tuesday night. Pusey is a former Oblong, Illinois resident. The Indiana State Police say the suspect vehicle is a red, 4-door passenger car with customization to the lower body, and a rear spoiler on the trunk. They say it also has fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror and a fairly loud exhaust. They believe that the car has front end damage and possible windshield damage. They also believe that three teenagers were in the car at the time and the driver may be a male. Codie Pusey was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after the accident and he remains there. The $1000 reward is the largest reward offered by Crimestoppers to date. February 18, 2008 On February 17, Jeremy Powers reported to police that someone threw a brick through the rear window of his 1991 Ford Mustang while it was parked at his home at 1314 North Jefferson in Robinson. On February 17th, police took a report that someone stole a two-to-three foot tall Colorado Blue Spruce tree from 501 East Pine. February 11, 2008 One happened at the old Crawford County Electronics building on South Reed Street. Someone took copper wire from the building. The other happened at Skate and Sport. and checks. January 14, 2008 Jeffrey Newlin reported that someone took a 2100 Deminsion Dell desktop, a Sanyo 19" television, a DVD player and some miscellaneous items. David Simpson reported a Blued Smith & Wesson model 39 9mm hand gun, an Insperion 9300 Dell laptop, a 3300 Dell tower computer, a Black MamBa Antique Recurve Bow and some alcohol was taken from him home. January 9, 2008 On January 6th, R&B Resources reported to the Sheriff's Office that someone opened valves to oil tanks at the Hargis Lease on 1500N west of 200E. The Ross Oil Company reported that someone opened valves on tanks at the Hanes Lease a half-mile south of 1600N on 225E. October 30, 2007 Small fires were started in the 100 block of East Cherry, in front of 204 East Magnolia, and in front of 1002 North Lincoln Street in Robinson. October 24 and October 26, 2007 A red 1985 Honda ATC 110 three-wheeler was stolen from 14688 N 550th Street sometime between October 24 and October 26. Two four wheelers were seen on 1300th avenue around 9:30 p.m. on the 22nd and one of the riders threw a brick at a mailbox. One of the four wheelers had white fenders and one of the riders was wearing a white shirt and white ball cap. In the 300 block, they broke into a pickup truck and took a CD player. Todd Nicklaus of Flat Rock reported to the Sheriff's Department on Tuesday that someone took his Red 2005 Honda TRX 250 Four Wheeler from his backyard. He lives at 301 East Baltimore in Flat Rock. February 22, 2006 PRESS RELEASE Crawford County Crimestoppers to pay $1000 in reward money for bank robbery. (Robinson, IL) -- Crawford County Crimestoppers is paying out its largest reward ever for information that led to the arrest of Charles Vahl for allegedly robbing First National Bank at gunpoint on February 1. Majesty D.O.B. 10-13-78, of Robinson, was arrested for DUI and No Valid Drivers License, following a traffic stop at Range and Missouri in Oblong. Majesty posted $300 cash bond and was released. On 08-14-05 at 5:37 p.m., Willie J. Land was brought into the CCSD by the Robinson Police Dept. While being booked Land broke a light and cover in the holding cell. Land is charged with Criminal Damage to State Supported Property. Land is being held in the CCSD without bond. On 08-14-05 Charles M. Davis of rural Robinson reported a stolen 3-wheeler. The 3-wheeler has a windshield and motorcycle handle bars, it is a Red 1985 Honda 250. The theft occurred between Friday night and this morning. On 08-13-05 at 12:45 a.m., Nicholas J. Charlet D.O.B. 01-28-84, of Bellerose, LA, was arrested for DUI, Improper Lane Usage following a traffic stop at ST HWY 33 on the west side of Robinson. Robinson -- Burglary Crawford County Crimestoppers is offering $250 for information on a burglary in Robinson. Sometime between 7/6/05 and 7/8/05 someone took a Honda generator out of a storage shed at 1615 West Walnut. The generator is a Honda EM6500 and is valued at about $3,200. Palestine -- Counterfeit Money Palestine Police Chief Jim Clark says that there was an incident of counterfeit money passed in Palestine. Clark says that the bill was passed at a local business and caught by a local bank. He says the bill is a copy of the older style twenty dollar bill and does not have the anti counterfeit measures of the newer 20 dollar bills. He says it appears that this bill was made by a copy machine, is slightly smaller than a regular bill, and the ink did not completely cover the extreme right end of the back. The serial number is C-B 558-230-77-C. It happened on April 5th in the 500 block of East Franklin Street. CD's, knives, and prescription drugs were taken from the home in broad daylight. Police Chief Jim Clark says one happened in the 300 block of South Main and the other happened in the 400 block of South Main. He says power tools and equipment were taken from the garage, including Makita cordless drills, a cordless Sawzall, a Craftsman skill saw, a Black and Decker circular saw, and a Makita router. He also says that the garages were unlocked, and he says that people need to make sure they keep everything locked up, especially after dark. 3/21/05 On March 20, 2005 someone drove a vehicle across the greens at Oak Glen Golf Course. They spun around on the greens and damaged them. They also drove over a cable fence and put ruts in a fairway. The vehicle appears to have been a full size truck. Police Chief Jim Clark says it happened Friday night around 9:50 at 403 South Main. Two citizens saw someone that they thought matched the description of the man that got into another house on February 25th. He's described as about a 15 or 16 year old white male with dark hair, a slender to medium build, and around 5-foot-6. This time he wore an orange hooded sweatshirt. The two citizens yelled at him after he pulled up his hood and started splitting a window screen at 403 South Main. He took off running and was lost in the area of 413 South Main. A Police search didn't turn up the suspect.
